Mr. P’s 2025 Scholarship Application

Mr. P's Scholarships are granted to continue the legacy of Dennis Pershing (Mr. P) so his example shall continue to honor and glorify God. And therefore, his love, devotion, and sacrifice for the students of Alcoa High School will long be remembered and celebrated.

Mr. P’s Scholarships are open to students interested in multiple career educational paths. Students who have a passion to work with their hands and would like to pursue vocational schools (automotive, computer technology, cosmetology, construction, surgical/medical technology, etc.) as well as traditional academic education are welcome to apply.

To complete this application:

Complete the form below.
Submit the following via email or give to School Counselor, Ms. Ferrell:
1. Letter of Recommendation from a Teacher, Administrator, or Counselor
2. Copy of Student Transcript
3. ACT or SAT Score if applicable
4. Essay or Video (required); the essay or video should capture the following:
  What are your life goals, the reason for applying, your thoughts after hearing Mr. P’s Memorial, how you may have overcome obstacles in your life, and any other considerations you would like the selection committee to know.

We encourage applicants to listen to Mr. P’s Memorial Service here or on CD at Alcoa High School Guidance Office to hear about his dedication and mission for students to continue their education.
